AllSTEM Connections is looking for a talented Construction Safety Manager with one of our Fortune 500 client.
Location - San Antonio, TX – onsite
Long term contract
Pay Rate - $70 / hourly - $80 / hourly
Role Specifications
Assisting in the identification, and management, of High-Risk Activities at each stage of the projects including liaising with design teams, working with contractors in forward safety planning, and co-ordination of works activities.
Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessment and evaluation across all construction projects.
Reviewing, and assessing, the EHS implications of changes as they occur during construction projects.
Report, support, and evaluate the contractor’s implementation of the Site-Specific Safety and High-Risk Activities Plan.
Actively engage with all aspects of day-to-day Health & Safety management
Conduct independent EHS and HRA Audits on all aspects of construction management including
On-going assessment of the resources provided by contractors to enable implementation of the contractor’s safety management program
Encouraging and promoting EHS initiatives aimed at influencing positive safety behavior and culture on the site.
Encouraging, and promoting, contractor participation in structured EHS recognition and wellness programs.
Reporting and supporting the project management team regarding EHS.
It is emphasized that the proposed role of the client adviser is intended as collaborative and supporting that of the main contractor. The contractor will maintain responsibility for all aspects of safety management on site.
Minimum Requirements
Looking for 10 years of experience as a Safety professional. Expecting to come in and hit the ground running and not be trained on how to manage as safety program. There is guidance but expect others to hit the ground running
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive experience in contractor communications, liaising with design teams, and other project professionals.
Able to stand and walk for multiple hours while surveying the work environment.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
