We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead impactful projects that address the complexities of decarbonization and energy transition. In this hybrid role, you will be key in delivering innovative energy strategies and designs, while mentoring a team of talented engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a mechanical engineering team to deliver advisory services and engineering designs.
- Mentor and manage junior and mid-level engineering staff.
- Collaborate on strategic pursuits with client account teams and sales professionals.
- Evaluate client energy needs, develop concepts, and execute detailed designs.
- Drive business growth through innovative solutions and emerging technologies.
- Develop proposals, define project scopes, and estimate resources.
- Contribute to utility master planning, decarbonization, and energy transition efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
- 10 years of engineering design or consulting experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in any U.S. state.
- Expertise in proposal development and project planning.
- Availability for 2 days per week in the Cary, NC office and occasional travel (less than 50%).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with thermal utility plants, cogeneration, and heat recovery chillers.
- Expertise in utility master planning and decarbonization strategies.
