Pipping Designer/ Pipping Engineer

Position Title – Pipping Design Tech

Hourly Rate - $75 -$86

1 year contract duration

Travel for work for 2 days.

• Please keep in mind that Plumbing is NOT Piping, it is as different as apple to pumpkin.

Qualifications:

• 15 years in Piping Design or Piping Engineering
• 3 years executing a Project Piping Lead role
• Availability to work 2-days weekly in the Cary, NC office or applicable client site (time must be average, e.g. 4 days every other week etc...)
• Working knowledge of piping design in a 3D modeling software such as Revit or AutoCad Plant 3D.
• Ability to perform work in AutoCAD 2D
• Experience in Pharmaceuticals is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Piping Plans, Sections, and Isometric deliverables
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Understanding of effective Equipment Arrangement, Pipe Stress, Pipe Design, Pipe Supports, and Piping specifications (does not need to be able to perform all functions but must know the workflow and project sequence of all)
• Functional knowledge of ASME B31.3 guidelines and requirements

Responsibilities:

The Piping Project Lead will be responsible for leading a small group of Piping Designers and Piping Engineers on an assigned project. The Piping Lead will be accountable for establishing piping scope based on client requirements, estimating engineering and design effort-hours, developing the project discipline schedule and staffing plans, and the technical quality and approval of all piping deliverables.
