Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Tester
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our IT-SEDS Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team. This position plays a critical role in the daily operations and activities of testing teams. As part of the Information Technology CRM Testing team, the Software QA Tester will deliver comprehensive software testing services to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Analyze user requirements, design documents, and related materials to develop detailed test plans and cases.
2.Execute automated functional and regression test cases, documenting all results, issues, and testing summaries.
3.Perform manual testing and data validation to ensure application functionality and data accuracy.
4.Conduct advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data as needed.
5.Collaborate with development teams and customers to understand functionality under test, determine test cases, and communicate findings effectively.
6.Review user requirements, procedures, and challenges to enhance or automate applications.
7.Contribute to sprint/release tasks such as providing testing effort estimates, resolving defects, and reporting status on assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 7 years of experience in testing complex web applications.
• 7 years of experience in testing all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 3 years of experience with Database/SQL language and creating automation test cases.
• 2 years of experience in automation testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 years of test automation experience using open-source technologies or in-house frameworks.
• Experience with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or BDD.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as WAPT Pro.
• Previous experience testing CRM applications.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Zephyr Scale and JIRA.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in testing and documentation.
