Title : Tech Support
Duration : 6-9 Months Contract to hire
Location : Topeka, KS
- Client is accepting US Citizens and GC holders only eligible to work on W2 Tax term.
Description :
Provides primary PC and peripheral support for assigned agencies. Responds to customer questions by email, in-person, or over the telephone. Provides application orientation and basic customer IT training. Provides regular, on-going customer site visits to ensure that customer IT needs are being addressed. Assists customers in obtaining system repairs or by conducting the repairs directly. Installs and troubleshoots PC software, printers, drivers, IP, faxes, and specialized agency applications.
Recommends, installs and configures new desktop systems. Ensures user requirements are met with regards to applications installed.
Ensures agency security policy is enforced by patching workstations and servers and following best security practices. Manages Antivirus solution on client and server side.
Provides support for virtual infrastructure and physical datacenter infrastructure. Evaluates application requirements and monitors servers to ensure that service level agreements are met.
Develops or maintains procedures and reference material for system operation and technical support. Develops, maintains and publicizes business and system procedures for system users. Develops and maintains training materials for users or system support staff.
Maintains agency email communications network. Monitors server utilization and performance.
Responsible for maintaining agency SAN by creating storage space presentable to virtual infrastructure. Monitors SAN space for growth utilization and performance. Ensures SAN to SAN replications functions properly.
Other related duties as assigned.
