Job Description:
TEDRA is part of the Institutional Securities Technology (IST) Division. It is responsible for maintaining, distributing, and reporting on revenue, risk, and reference data (client, product, and pricing). As the authoritative source of key data sets, we are at the forefront of database technology and are heavily involved in data engineering, data science, data visualization, and machine learning efforts across the Firm.
TEDRA is also responsible for front and middle office post-execution applications that facilitate straight-through processing for multiple asset classes. We are looking for a KDB developer to support & develop multi-terabyte, massively distributed orders and executions platform for equities, rates and fx globally. The system includes a mix of classic KDB technology with new distributed data engineering state of the art systems, e.g. Kafka, Snowflake etc. We are a diverse data expert group specializing in a variety of big data technologies. While KDB is a major part of our offering, we aim to architect best of breed solutions using a best tool for the job approach. The platform serves many businesses and scales to billions of daily orders. The ideal candidate would be capable of navigating KDB and other data processing technologies.
The responsibilities include:
- Develop current kdb based infrastructure to ensure support for queries from native Q and other languages (including Java,C#, python) and enhance the architecture to support a low latency, fast ingestion, highly available database.
- The goal is to provide easy access to a broad range of pricing and market information for the business units to help them make informed business decisions.
- Develop tools for data acquisition/loading, data quality, and production support covering a broad range of asset classes, data types, and frequencies that meet current and analytic, and operational needs Develop modularized, micro service based components
