Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. You ll be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing Linux-based systems, with a focus on performance, security, and automation. This role also involves leading infrastructure projects and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Linux System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues.
• Security Management: Implement security best practices, manage firewalls, and handle patching.
• Automation: Write scripts (Bash, Python) and use tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to automate tasks.
• Cloud Management: Oversee Linux environments on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams on system and infrastructure projects.
• Disaster Recovery: Design backup, failover, and recovery strategies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 years of Linux administration, with 3 years in a senior role.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Linux systems, scripting, cloud platforms, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Security: Strong understanding of Linux security practices.
• Automation: Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Cloud: Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership abilities.

Preferred:

• Certifications: RHCE, AWS, or cloud certifications.
• Tools: Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
