Senior Manager / Data center Migration PM
Visa: Independent.
Work Location: Troy, MI (2-3 days onsite hybrid)
Job Summary
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end operations for a US based retail bank
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including network, server, storage, and security implementations.
- Define project scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Monitor project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), SLA s, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project dependencies and effectively communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Build and manage a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers, assigning tasks, providing mentorship, and fostering collaboration.
- Develop team capabilities through training and skill development initiatives, ensuring technical proficiency across the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Technical Expertise:
- Good understanding of various infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), network design, data center operations, server virtualization, and security protocols.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the infrastructure landscape to identify potential solutions and improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to the team on complex issues.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their business needs and ensure project deliverables meet their expectations.
- Proactively address client concerns and manage escalations effectively.
- Conduct regular client reviews and present project status updates.
- Cost and Quality Control:
- Monitor project budget and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality assurance processes to identify and address potential issues early on.
Years of experience needed 15 to 20 years
Technical Skills:
- Preferred bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, storage, and security technologies. Prior experience of DC operations, migrations and transformation project.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and budget control.
- Proven leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
