Who are we looking for?
A senior level Hybrid Infrastructure Migration Engineer having 7-10 years of experience working as Migration SME / Consultant to end client for short- and long-term Infrastructure transformational projects.
Technical Skills:
- 7-10 years of experience in planning and executing data center migrations with a strong focus on Windows, VMware, AWS, and HPE GL (Basic understanding).
- Experienced in using migration tools and techniques to move workloads from on-premises data centers to AWS or hybrid cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Expertise in migrating Windows-based systems, applications, and databases to VMware virtualized environments or cloud platforms like AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Proficient in VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN) and cloud platforms (AWS) to design, configure, and execute migrations of virtualized and cloud-based workloads.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server environments, ensuring seamless migration of critical infrastructure and applications to the cloud or new data center environments.
- Supports the execution of migration tasks, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the migration process.
- Works with architects and senior engineers to finalize migration strategies, ensuring proper alignment with business goals and operational requirements.
- Proficient in cloud migration tools and techniques (e.g., AWS Migration Hub, VMware vMotion) to automate and streamline the migration process.
- Provides detailed documentation of migration processes, ensuring that all steps are clear, repeatable, and aligned with best practices.
- Assists in creating disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies for Windows systems during migration to ensure RTO/RPO are met.
- Proactively monitors migration tasks, identifies potential issues early, and works with the team to resolve them quickly to maintain project timelines.
- Coordinates with network, storage, and security teams to ensure that migration dependencies and configurations are properly addressed during the migration phase.
- Conducts post-migration validation and testing to ensure systems are operating correctly in the new environment, meeting performance and security standards.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior migration engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, troubleshooting methods, and efficient migration techniques.
- Responsible for reporting on migration progress, performance metrics, and any issues that need to be addressed to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensures that all migration activities follow security, compliance, and organizational standards, mitigating risks associated with the migration process.
Process Skills:
- Help team with critical technical know how
- Good knowledge on ITIL and worked on incident/change/problem on regular basis.
- Good in Technical Documentation and design process and standards.
- Good experience in Migration framework and methodologies.
Behavioral Skills:
- Must have superior problem-solving skills with extremely high levels of initiative and assertiveness.

Qualification:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems and /or equivalent formal training or work experience.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in DC & Cloud Infrastructure migration activities
- Must have the below certifications
- AWS Certification.
- Windows/Linux Certifications.
- VMware certification.
