Job Summary
The Warehouse and Crating Specialist position is responsible for various tasks related to receiving, shipping, inventory control, and preparing freight for shipment according to specific customer requirements. Duties include receiving incoming freight, documenting and inventorying items, preparing inventory for shipping, creating custom packing and crating, and performing general warehouse duties.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in warehousing.
- Experience in packing and crating preferred.
- Experience with various power tools.
- Experience in operating ride-on forklift, both electric and propane.
- General math skills, such as reading a tape measure.
- Must work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Successfully complete ATP Training Inc.’s CBTA Accredited Dangerous Goods Training class for both NON-Radioactive and RADIOACTIVE dangerous goods.
- Valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug test.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance upon employer request.

Work Context
Regular Hours: The standard work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This consistent schedule promotes work-life balance and fosters predictability in the workweek. All employees are full time and must be able to commit to a 40-hour work week.

Primary Job Duties
- Documents incoming freight, providing weights, dimensions and cubic feet.
- Inputs all freight information into handheld scanners for inventory purposes.
- Has knowledge of freight racking locations.
- Pulls and prepares inventory for shipping.
- Creates custom packing and crating on and off-site in accordance with specifications given.
- Takes measurements and creates accurate cut lists.
- Performs general duties associated with accepting and releasing freight.
- Processes incoming and outgoing packing jobs, including proper packaging, marking, labeling, and issuing all necessary documentation.
- Receives or delivers freight on site.
- Prepares and installs dunnage walls for ocean container interiors.
- Performs pickup and delivery functions off-site.
- Loads and unloads trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Interfaces with customers via phone and on-site, while upholding to quality customer service standards.
- Supports AllTransPack’s image of superior professionalism and excellent quality.
- Assists in cleaning and maintaining the work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
