What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Trainee position at Alluma?
We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Thief River Falls, MN. This position involves providing therapeutic services to students at Franklin Middle and Lincoln High School. You will provide services to youth in grades 6-12 and their families. This therapist will work alongside a mental health professional already co-located in the school. The provider will focus on enhancing youth's skills to prevent, recognize, address, and minimize the effects of mental health issues.
The therapist will be part of the school services program at Alluma which is a team of providers across Northwest Minnesota. The school assignment will remain in TRF middle and high school. The clinician will work with the school district to support referrals and be a point person when concerns of student mental health arise. This is a 12-month position, and during the non-school months, the provider will continue with clinical services for individuals, groups, and families.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in the school and community settings.
- Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, or families
- Refer clients to other necessary service providers
- Complete initial and ongoing mental health outcome measurements
- Create a treatment plan and implement it based on each clients recovery vision and needs
- Monitor client progress during treatment and modify approach as necessary
- Communicate and coordinate with families and all treatment team members internally and externally (medical, legal, psychiatric, county, substance use departments) to coordinate care during treatment
- Complete and update intake, screeners, releases, and forms/paperwork as needed
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
- Optional to participate in an on-call mobile crisis team within Alluma
Requirements
- Masters degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Certification, licensure, or registration with the clinical discipline
- Unrestricted independent licensure as an LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT in Minnesota
- Unrestricted independent licensure as a North Dakota LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT is preferred
- Training or certification DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check
