The Role
As our first Industrial-Organizational Psychologist you’ll play a key role shaping the tools that enable thousands of job seekers and professionals to stand out and be discovered.
allUP partners with companies to help them hire for critical roles. When applying to a job through allUP, candidates answer interview questions to help them show off what they are truly great at.
Working closely with our founding team, you’ll help us think through and understand new roles that are posted on the platform, and create and manage the repository of thoughtfully designed interview questions to test for key competencies. Your work will directly influence the success of job seekers, hiring teams, and allUP’s mission.
What You'll Do
You will create interview questions that help identify expertise across thousands of skills, attributes, domains and job types. You will proactively identify gaps, improve systems, and build a scalable foundation that helps millions of professional be discovered for everything they are capable of.
- Translate job requirements from hiring managers and job descriptions into specific interview questions.
- Analyze job trends and proactively design interview questions for future use, building a robust training dataset that scales with our growth.
- Create tips and other content to help candidates in answering the interview questions
- Database Management: Maintain and organize a database of questions and responses to ensure streamlined operations and consistency across assessments. Monitor interview question performance to constantly evolve the dataset and maximize results.
- AI Model Optimization: Work with our team to support prompt engineering and train AI models to continuously improve the relevance and accuracy of recommendations.
What You'll Bring
- A Methodical & Creative Mindset: You’re part creative puzzle-maker, part methodical instructional designer, and part curious researcher.
- Proven Experience: Background in talent assessment, assessment design, and related fields. Bonus points for experience in recruitment, HR tech, or consumer tech startups.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: You spot trends and issues before they arise, staying organized while managing a large volume of content.
- A Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work closely with subject matter experts, founders, and cross-functional teams to align content with broader organizational goals.
- Flexibility & Independence: Comfortable working independently and navigating flexible schedules with some Pacific Time overlap.
- AI expertise: You’ve used AI either professionally or personally and are curious and driven to be more effective with it in finding ways to make yourself and our systems more efficient
Schedule & Structure
- $35-$50 / hour depending on experience
- 20 hours per week, flexibility in scheduling
- Some overlap with Pacific Time zone required for occasional team meetings
- Potential for increased hours and growth as we scale
