The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Category 5, Category 6a, and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems and possess manufacturer-specific experience or certifications (Commscope, BICSI, Panduit, Hubbell, Corning, Leviton, AV, etc.). Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design & Engineering:
✔️ 10 years of experience in low-voltage cabling infrastructure systems.
✔️ Strong knowledge of telecom, data, security, and wireless cabling.
✔️ Experience with engineering software packages (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
✔️ Manufacturer-specific certifications (Commscope, BICSI, Panduit, Hubbell, Corning, Leviton, AV, etc.) preferred.
✔️ Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
✔️ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
✔️ Ability to conduct site assessments and make recommendations for outdated or over-capacity spaces.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design & Engineering:
- Architectural: Design Telecommunications Room (TR) spaces based on building size and IT requirements.
- Mechanical: Assess HVAC requirements based on IT equipment specifications.
- Electrical: Determine UPS sizing and pathway design based on IT needs.
- Cabling SOW: Design and oversee backbone and horizontal cabling (fiber, copper, specialty).
- IT Design: Develop schematic designs, construction documents, and engineering plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure IT and regulatory device connectivity align with industry standards.
- Conduct site assessments and make recommendations for infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NFS, CPFC, CDTS, ITC, Security, and Facilities.
- Perform on-site quality inspections to ensure compliance with design and industry standards.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including designs, site reports, and assessments.

✔️ Strong knowledge of telecom, data, security, and wireless cabling.
