About the Role
Join a dynamic Global Sourcing team dedicated to Knowledge Driven Sourcing —developing optimal solutions through expertise in engineering design, manufacturing processes, cost modeling, and quality. As a Global Sourcing Specialist , you’ll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop supply chain strategies, and build strong supplier partnerships to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global strategic sourcing initiatives with a focus on cost reduction and supply chain optimization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Asia supply chain strategies targeting material cost reductions.
- Partner with Asian sourcing teams to identify and implement optimal global sourcing solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new supply chain opportunities.
- Oversee supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives while monitoring market dynamics to capitalize on savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product Development, Operations) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Define and track supplier performance through KPIs, address performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to building a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
