Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental billing and coding, with a strong understanding dental terminology and coding systems. This role is essential for ensuring accurate billing processes, managing collections, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process and review Dental billing claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare provider insurances and patientsto resolve any discrepancies in billing information.
- Manage accounts receivable, including follow-up on outstanding payments and dental collections. Ongoing billing to paties and collections phone calls
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dentalbilling regulations and compliance standards.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring timely processing.
- Generate billing reports and analyze data to identify trends or issues in billing processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding their bills and payment options.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Deental office setting is needed.
- Proficiency in dentalcoding, including knowledge of relevant coding systems.
- Familiarity with Dental terminology and billing practices is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Proficient in using billing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
