What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position at Allure Healthcare Services?
SUMMARY: Allure of Walnut is currently seeking individuals to join our laundry and housekeeping team. The primary purpose of these positions is perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Environmental Services, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
As a Laundry/Housekeeping aide at Allure of Walnut, your role is to help our residents make the most of their living space, to keep our residential and public spaces clean, and to assist with doing laundry.
You will work with a dedicated team to provide quality care through all services. This position gives you the opportunity to make a direct change in someone’s life.
A typical day includes working as part of a team to maintain a clean facility, including residents’ rooms, restrooms and community spaces. You will adhere to federal guidelines regarding safe chemical storage, contamination and housing inspections under guidance from your supervisor. Strong communication skills are helpful as you’ll work closely with your team and those you serve to schedule, complete and document daily processes.

- Must be able to move intermittently thoughout the workday
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical & physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and /or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
