Allure of Peur is looking for a Medical Records/Central Supply to join there team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Medical Records/Central Supply
Duties and Responsibilities: for Medical Records
1. Initiates the medical chart, ensuring that patient identifying information is on all documentation and correct.
2. Directs the uploading and entering of patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system.
3. Coordinates medical records transactions (pick-ups and deliveries) and reviews records for completeness and filing accuracy.
4. Pull charts as needed for special audits, peer reviews and other compliance reviews.
5. Conducts chart audits, as needed, to ensure accuracy and quality.
6. Communicates with appropriate team members about any chart discrepancies or deficiencies.
7. Makes sure patient charts are maintained and closed in line with facility policies and procedures.
8. Responsible for safeguarding patient records in line with State and Federal regulations.
9. Prepares closed charts.
10. Processes requests for information from outside sources in a prompt fashion, including answering phones and corresponding with outside entities to receive or send information.
11. Has working knowledge of HIPAA to ensure confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
12. Other related duties as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities: for Central Supply
- Responsible for timely ordering and stocking of medical supplies for the facility
- Ensure that all nurses stations are stocked with the necessary supplies
- Organize nurse’s stations on a weekly basis
- Organize all rented equipment (i.e. beds, wheelchairs, etc.,) and send back when not in use
- Assist with schedule and transport of residents and assist with scheduling for escort needs
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school diploma or its equivalent
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to be resourceful, tactful, and proactive in dealing with any issues that may arise
