What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vocational Workshop Supervisor/Job Trainer position at Allwell Behavioral Health Services?
Responsible for provision and coordination of vocational training to a caseload of trainees at work center and 5-day janitorial assessment
RESPONSIBLITIES/STANDARDS:
- Observes trainees at worksites and gives verbal and written feedback in relation to attainment of stated goals and objectives.
- Observes each individual of a caseload of between 20 and 30 at least once during an evaluation period and supplements data with observations from lead workers and other C.O.R.E. staff.
- Completes a Trainee Evaluation Form for each evaluation period. Meets once every two weeks with workshop trainees to discuss progress, remediation plans and placement status.
- Documents in ECR trainee progress and related activities on ALLWELL Progress Note.
- Assists each trainee at least every ninety (90) days in establishing vocational goals and plans with target dates for expected achievement using the Individual Service Plan Form in ECR.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- Must be able to drive box truck.
Performs training, teaching, testing from an approved curriculum.
- To provide using approved curriculum Janitorial training at the CORE facility.
- To administer a pre and post-test to each participant. To requisition supplies and equipment. To issue Certificates of Completion to successful participants. Regularly updates curriculum.
- To provide orientation and instruction using approved curriculum to trainees in the Bench Work department.
- To generally oversee that work site including purchasing, production, delivery, and work assignments. Enforces standards of quality. Regularly updates curriculum.
- To assist consumers with certain vocationally related objectives such as problem-solving transportation issues, accessing AA or NA, accessing a GED program, etc.
Vocational Program Related Duties.
- Conducts safety in-services. Resolves safety concerns. Performs safety drills.
- Transports clients as needed.
- Uses CORE vehicles to make deliveries as needed.
- Performs Material Handler and Janitor duties in the absence of a client suitable for that job.
- Requisitions and picks up supplies as needed and as approved by the Program director.
- Performs routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating and securing bolts on work center equipment.
- Completes as needed intakes for candidates for the work center.
- Works in cooperation with the Vice President of Quality Assurance to assure compliance in all areas of Quality Assurance/Clinical Record and related clinical management rules and regulations.
- Prepares reports on work center productivity.
- Purchases drug screen kits and performs drug screen on trainees as required.
