What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Allwell Behavorial Health Services?
Under the direction of the Maintenance Director and Specialists this position is responsible for general maintenance and repair of all ABHS sites and maintenance. General service and repair for vehicles, if needed.
- Provide general repair and maintenance for all facilities to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical work.
- Provide general maintenance and rehab to offices and apartments to include dry wall restoration, interior and exterior painting. Move office furniture and files, as needed.
- Join maintenance team in annual inspection of all facilities.
- Provide quarterly inspection of all Allwell vehicles to include exterior and interior cleaning of vehicles.
- Provide maintenance team back up to cover vacations and/or sick leave for van driving and janitorial duties at ABHS sites.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs, roofing, interior & exterior painting, carpentry and familiarity with HVAC preferred
- Ability to climb ladders, perform overhead bulb replacement/maintenance of lighting fixtures
- Position is very physical and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and/or climbing frequently.
- Must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Have (or be willing to obtain) and maintain First Aid/CPR Training
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Possess Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- 1 year experience in general building maintenance and repairs.
