Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team and provide invaluable support to our HR department. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in HR operations and gain insight into our company’s approach to payroll, recruiting, and employee development. As an HR Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our HR policies and procedures.
This is a Non-Exempt position, that requires working in our Folsom office Tuesday through Thursday, for 8 hours each day (average of ~24 hours each week). The position has an hourly rate of $20 per hour and will begin in May and conclude in September (this can be adjusted depending on what works best for the candidate hired).
Responsibilities:
- Document management: Assist in organizing and maintaining personnel files and other HR documents.
- Compliance: Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by managing necessary documentation and acknowledgments.
- Onboarding support: Aid in the onboarding process by preparing materials such as business cards and company swag for new employees.
- Internal communication: Contribute to the creation and distribution of internal newsletters and other communications.
- Branding and culture: Support the implementation of branding updates and help promote company culture through various initiatives.
- Inventory management: Keep track of company inventory, including swag and office supplies.
- HR systems: Update and maintain records in HR software and tools.
- Data management: Perform data cleanup and maintenance in HR systems to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HR software and tools (e.g., Greenhouse Recruiting and Onboarding, ADP, Betterworks) is a plus.
