Join our Software Development team
As a Sr. Software Engineer for Completions Digital Products, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software to create solutions and services tailored to the needs of the CWI business as well as our external customers.
In This Role, You Will Also Be Responsible For
- Defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development methods and infrastructure
- Supporting impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations, and implementation strategy.
- Collaborating with system engineers, data scientists, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean / Agile / XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.
- Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality aligned with Baker Hughes standards and guidelines
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Preferably in “STEM” Majors) or have equivalent experience in software development.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- Have expert-level skills in .NET (C#, C ), native C development, Angular/TypeScript/JavaScript with an ability to take a deep dive in the implementation aspects.
- Have proven debugging and troubleshooting expertise
- Previous experience with Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres etc.),
- Experience developing REST APIs
- Experience writing unit tests
- Experience working with embedded software
- Experience implementing and configuring systems, including installing and commissioning software and hardware, as well as configuring networks and servers
- Experience using a CI system to automate builds
- Must be willing to travel 10%
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Houston, TX
