A Lead Product Compliance Engineer is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on approach, mindset, and process. This involves activities that consider both the business and technical needs of customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users' needs.
As a Lead Product Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Communicating standards to the design community and maintaining those standards
- Reviewing and understanding the applicable standards required by Law in the country that apply to the relevant products
- Working with independent third parties to perform product compliance and certification work (testing, design review, etc.) and communicating results/actions to the relevant engineering and supply chain team
- Interacting with outside engineering firms or governmental agencies to provide or record product compliance to required regional or national standards to gain the needed product certification or qualification
- Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
- Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology)
- Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Technical Regulations and Standards.
- Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
