We are a leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are enabling many of the industry’s leading wind turbine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to outsource the manufacturing of a larger portion of their wind blades, thus expanding their global wind blade capacity. We manufacture advanced composite products to our customers’ exact specifications in facilities designed, built, and strategically located either near our customers’ target markets or in low-cost, world-class locations, to minimize total delivered cost. About The Role
The Quality Team Leader assists peer Quality Inspectors to safely and efficiently perform inspections and testing in accordance with TPI and customer-specific requirements, identifying non-conforming materials, and participating in problem-solving processes to improve quality and production.

This position is on site at our wind blade manufacturing site in Newton, Iowa. Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available for this position.

About The Role
The Quality Team Leader assists peer Quality Inspectors to safely and efficiently perform inspections and testing in accordance with TPI and customer-specific requirements, identifying non-conforming materials, and participating in problem-solving processes to improve quality and production.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform all duties assigned to peer Quality Inspectors.
- Serves as a quality inspection process expert.
- Ensures that quality inspectors follow standard work procedures.
- Ensures proper integration of new associates and ensures that team members participate in training and onboarding.
- Covers absences to meet quality and delivery objectives.
- Perform all duties assigned to peer Quality Inspectors.
- Performs quality checks as necessary.
- Use gages like Vernier Caliper, Tape Measures, Depth Gages etc.
- 5S measuring gages.
- Obtains quality forms and enters data electronically as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- Two (2) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience training preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards
- Capability to read and interpret basic drawings and to perform basic math.
- Computer proficiency including MS Office (Preferred)
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Adapt to working different shifts and overtime, (being called in on days off)
