The Craft Logistics Specialist is a subject matter expert experienced and knowledgeable in the maintenance of instrumentation and electrical (I&E) equipment. This role is part of the Midstream Maintenance Execution team supporting continuous improvement in I&E equipment availability and productivity for the ND Midstream Asset (oil/water/gas gathering & gas processing plant). Working in a team environment, it carries responsibilities for implementing reliability best practices, developing maintenance tasks and repair scopes, and supporting maintenance activities in accordance with relevant site, company, and industry standards and procedures. This role interacts closely with the Maintenance, Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Supply Chain functions in support of equipment maintenance planning, scheduling, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement.

The Primary Areas Of Focus For This Role Include
Operational Control
- Supports safety culture including ensuring the embedment of Hess safety procedures, best practices, and standard work. This includes but isn't limited to strong pre-job planning, recognition and management of hazards introduced from evolving job scopes, daily after-action reviews, strong safety meeting participation, recognition of positive safety behaviors, accident investigations, safety audits and related activities
- Leverages technical expertise in support of the Reliability and Maintenance functions in areas such as:
- Management of spare parts and bills of material
- Work with planning for the development of detailed scopes of work and task lists for major repairs
- Support activities leading up to major maintenance events and provides assurance on the execution and quality of the I&E work performed
- Supports company and contract electrical crafts personnel during repairs to ensure they have the information needed to complete work with a high degree of quality and precision
- First responder that helps to identify and rectify equipment performance problems; works closely with reliability engineering team to solve issues real-time
- Monitors equipment repair for quality including, when needed, performing quality assurance on outside shop repairs
- Drives scheduling of repairs through ownership of notification quality and required work scope
- Provides assistance in the field during facility startups, shutdowns, or upsets
- Ensures quality of as-found / as-left documentation and maintains quality of master data input to SAP
- Works closely with maintenance and reliability engineering teams to drive reliability improvement of assets, identification of current or future reliability bad actors, optimization of preventative and predictive maintenance plans, and overall technical oversight of equipment
- Performs other duties related to this function to help ensure the ongoing reliability of I&E equipment
- Collaborates with other maintenance specialists, condition monitoring, reliability engineering, planning, and leadership to ensure proper priorities are placed on deficiencies and continuous learning/improvement process is fostered
- Provide feedback to maintenance planning, scheduling, and supply chain to ensure continuous improvement with maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes and procedures

- Field based role (Tioga / Keene) 5/2 (9/80) work schedule.
- 8 years refining, petrochemical, oil and gas industry experience or equivalent industry related experience such as energy, military maintenance, mining or other heavy manufacturing with troubleshooting and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment such as motors, PLCs, DCS, motor control centers, generators, and process instrumentation (transmitters, valves, controllers, etc.).
- Basic proficiency in the following areas with the ability to develop into a subject matter expert in particular areas:
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC, API)
- Instrumentation and controls technology
- Power distribution and controls
- PLC maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming
- Analyzers and sample systems
- Failure analysis
- RCM based Predictive and Preventive Maintenance strategies
- Strong knowledge of work management system, corrective/preventative maintenance planning, and equipment master data utilization
- Strong knowledge of applicable EHS procedures/practices such as Permit to Work, Energy Isolation, Respiratory Protection, PPE, Emergency Response
- Proficient computer skills / business system knowledge (SAP, Microsoft Suite)
- Possess strong written and verbal communications skills with ability to lead, coach, and train others
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in fast-paced, constantly changing production environment
- Must be available outside normal working hours for technical support if needed
- Strong organization, time management, prioritization and planning skills and able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines for self and team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Master electrician licensure preferred but not required
