The Opportunity
Ally is the leading provider of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance packages to franchised car dealers in the country. Ally is the exclusive distributor of an Ally-branded garage insurance product that provides the majority of a dealer’s insurance needs. The Claim Operations Analyst – Liability is responsible for oversight of the book of garage liability insurance claims, including critically evaluate garage liability claim handling, interact with internal & external partners, build key relationships, and ensure providing highest level of customer experience.
The Work Itself
- Overseeing claims arising from policies under Ally’s garage liability book of business with emphasis on oversight of Third Party Administrators
- Identifying & evaluating coverage issues including review and analysis of complex coverage positions
- Act as liaison between internal partners and third party administrators
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, & damages to recommend appropriate claim handling resolutions
- Participate in claim quality reviews and/or audits
- Perform critical assessments of our business partners’ overall claim operations, reserving practices, & technical claim handling
- Communicate claim audit findings to internal stakeholders, including written reports in clear, comprehensive, & analytically sound manner
- Responding to business needs of sales, actuaries, and other internal/external partners
- Identifying, analyzing, & reporting on claim trends
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on liability claim handling
The Skills You Bring
- 3 years’ experience in handling complex &/or high value claims with an emphasis on liability coverages within an insurance carrier environment required
- Liability for auto & garage operations, including coverages involving bodily injury, garage keepers, commercial property, business income, umbrella/excess liability, crime, and employment practices liability
- Required to be licensed or ability to be licensed as adjuster in appropriate states
- Dealership operations knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with auto dealers and commercial liability ISO forms preferred
- Conducting claim quality reviews a significant plus
- Well-honed ability to work independently
- Highly developed relationship building skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to objectively manage conflicting priorities
- High level of accountability & ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills – interpersonal and presentation
- Outstanding internal & external customer service skills
- Ability to work with PC applications

Salary : $55,000 - $80,000
