Travel Personal Care Aide (PCA)
Job Type:
Part-Time with a 30 Day Provisional Period. Then Full-Time 40 Hours per week.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Travel Caregiver to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals in their homes. As a Travel Caregiver, you will be on-call and work as needed to help our Clients with daily living activities, ensuring they maintain their independence and quality of life. Flexibility, empathy, and a strong work ethic are key to succeeding in this role. Travel distances will vary depending on the different Client locations and you will receive mileage reimbursement for each mile traveled to commute for services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to clients based on their specific needs and care plans.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals according to the Client's dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor for changes in Client health status.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote the Client’s well-being.
- Ensure safety measures are followed to prevent falls or other injuries.
- Communicate any changes in the Client's condition to the care manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous caregiving experience, preferably in home care, is highly desirable.
- Certification as a CNA is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, turning, and supporting Clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing compassionate and respectful care.
- Reliable transportation
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work on short notice.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
Work Schedule:
This is a PRN position, meaning the schedule would vary on a week by week basis to adjust to different Client’s needs. Flexibility is required as shifts may occur during the day, evening, weekends, or holidays.
Compensation:
$16/hr
Travel Reimbursement:
.58 Cents/ Mile for all documented travel using MileIQ or similar mobile application.
