We are seeking a Field Documentation Specialist to join our team. This critical role involves conducting on-site inspections, documenting property damage, and supporting the creation of detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site property inspections to document damage.
- Take detailed and high-quality photos of damage, including overview and close-up shots, to ensure comprehensive visual documentation.
- Carry and safely use ladders to access roofs or elevated areas for damage inspection and photo documentation.
- Identify and assess property damage, including structural, roofing, and interior damage.
- Measure property features (e.g., rooms, roofs, and siding) to assist in preparing damage reports and repair estimates.
- Record clear and concise notes during inspections, ensuring all details are captured.
- Collaborate with public adjusters to create thorough and accurate damage reports.
- Use tools and software for photo organization, measurement, and report generation (e.g., CompanyCam, Xactimate, or similar).
- Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and other parties involved in the claim process.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document damage comprehensively.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and navigating different types of properties.
- Ability to carry and use ladders safely (roof access experience is preferred).
- Basic knowledge of property damage types and repair processes (training provided).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently.
- Experience with measurement tools, field documentation, and damage assessment is a plus.
- Proficiency in using mobile apps and software for documentation and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.
- Capable of extended periods of walking, standing, and kneeling during inspections.
