Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician at Ally Veterinary Specialty Center in Waltham, MA. The role involves providing animal patient care including administering medications and husbandry, placing catheters, client education, performing anesthesia, assisting with biopsy procedures, and learning and ultimately administering chemotherapy.
Qualifications
- Excellent animal handling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform anesthesiology
- Desire to learn new skills
- Proficient in phlebotomies, placing intravenous and urinary catheters, taking radiographs, and basic medical calculations
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Proficient in medical record taking
- Experience with in-clinic laboratory machines
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Registered Veterinary Technician certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.83 - $50.00 per hour
