Job Summary:
Ally Waste is seeking a talented and experienced HR Generalist who is fluent in English and Spanish to join our People Operations Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the department runs smoothly, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations (especially in California), leveraging expertise in the Paylocity (or Workday) HRIS system, and contributing to our People Operations Team. Possession of an HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR) is highly desirable.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Utilize expert knowledge of Paylocity HRIS to manage employee records, time and attendance, benefits administration, and other HR processes.
- Troubleshoot with relevant software providers and resolve any HRIS issues.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices remain in compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance within the HRIS system.
- Serve as a bridge between English and Spanish-speaking employees, facilitating effective communication and understanding across the organization.
- Address employee queries and concerns promptly, promoting a positive work environment.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and mediating workplace issues.
- Support the recruitment process, collaborating with hiring managers, and writing and posting job descriptions when needed.
- Identify training needs and assist in the development of training programs.
- Collaborate to streamline processes and enhance the department as a whole.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and others referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate party.
- Complete routine tasks required to administer the human resources function.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Proven experience working with Paylocity HRIS.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least 1-2 years of human resource experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- CalHR, or PHRca®, or SHRM California Specialty Credential a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) a plus.

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
