Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity
Ally's Automotive Residual Setting Team develops and delivers industry leading residuals that are critical to the success of Ally's automotive lease business. The Senior Analyst Business Analytics role is responsible for forecasting of residuals, data analysis, and reporting on key metrics inherent to residual setting for internal stakeholders. This role has a finger on the pulse of the auto industry including emerging EV & other technologies, finance, the economy and uses expertise to identify insights, contemplate impacts and make recommendations that optimize Ally’s lease business.
The Work Itself
- Develop residual values via Ally’s proprietary residual value model and Editorial Adjustments based on your industry expertise and Auto/Macro Economic factors
- Manage and interpret industry data and provide inputs for residual value model
- Create and deliver analysis and insights that deliver results of complex information in a clear, concise, and meaningful format to key decision makers/leadership
- Understand and work within Ally’s risk parameters
- Extract, clean and unify data from multiple sources using Snowflake, SQL, Power BI
- Validate residual values considering term/mileage and other factors impacting residual values
- Optimize and automate existing and new analysis and reporting
- Identify key data points, data sources, and data formats needed in support of continued robust reporting and decision making
- Aggregate, cleanse, map data from multiple sources to maximize impact
- Evaluate new reporting tools to optimize production and the audience experience
- Partner and collaborate w/ key internal stakeholders from modeling, remarketing, pricing, product, sales, and risk/audit
- Recommend actions based on key risk/opportunity findings & trends in reporting/metrics
- Support ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and presentations
- Research, qualify, and quantify new vehicle technologies including Electric Vehicles, Incentives, and Infrastructure
Skills
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- 3 Years of Data Business Analytics required, Auto Finance & Lease experience a plus
- Base Auto Experience relating to OEMs, Makes, and Models preferred
- Electric Vehicle and High Line Vehicle market knowledge and expertise is a plus
- Auto Residual Forecasting a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Snowflake, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills
- Self-starter thriving in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Ability to manage projects, prioritize, and deliver results
- Strong financial analytical skills

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $120000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
