What does a Software Developer do?
The Software Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing and/or new applications. The position will work with analysts, other programmers, trainers, and quality assurance personnel in a team environment to ensure a quality product that meets user needs and delivers on development standards.
Position Details:
Location: Ft. Myers, FL
Work Schedule: 40 hours, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday (some weekend / afterhours support / on-call rotation may be required)
Position Classification: Full-Time; Salaried Exempt, Entry-Level
Physical Demands: Sitting, typing, walking, and talking on the phone.
Work Environment: Office Cubicle

Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree – focus in computer science, MIS, or equivalent preferred
- Data analysis experience
- Strong knowledge of .NET and SQL Server
- 4 years of client-based application development experience including design and programming skills
- Web development experience under the following technologies: Asp.NET Web Forms, MS Ajax, Java script, jQuery, ExtJs, Ext.NEt, Entity Framework, NPOI, My Generation, NANT, Cruise Controls, N Unit, XML, JSON, Web Services, WCF, Design Patterns
- Reporting service snowledge
- MSSQL Server DBA skills is a plus
- Assist team leader in the development, design, and implementation of client software system
- May serve as member of a project team or as an individual contributor
- Review test procedures and make revisions and refinements to existing procedures
- Responsible for studying and analyzing existing office procedures; preparing system flow charts and logic diagrams to describe existing and proposed operations; testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting programs
- Performs code reviews and design documentation created by others
- Assist users with day-to-day problems by troubleshooting problems occurring in programs or databases
- May be assigned as project lead responsible for preparing project plans and managing projects to assure objectives are met on time and within cost; evaluate performance of project team and report performance upon project completion to management
- Assist others in training and orientation of staff and/or users
- Perform systems programming tasks including develop specifications; define logic, database design; develop standards, guidelines, and procedures for appropriate use by operations and network support; work with other staff on implementation of new programs, systems, and communications solutions
- Perform and/or support software releases.
