What does a Logistics Data Analyst do?
The Logistics Data Analyst is responsible for clients' interactions with carriers and freight forwarders as specified in scope of work document signed / provided to clients. The workload might include rate negotiation from the moment of analyzing and compiling data for transportation negotiations, selecting carriers or freight forwarders, sourcing assessments, rate negotiation process and contract coordination. Sourcing and consulting specialist administers contracts, rates, and online routing tools. Responsible for uploading and maintaining rates database and online contract amendment tools. Sourcing and Consulting Specialist is also responsible for issue escalation with carriers and freight forwarders. Responsible for internal and external trainings or seminars about sourcing topics, data tools development and data analysis or metrics development that ensure suggested sourcing solutions and processes are being followed. Regular delivery of metrics and reports might be requested.
Position Details :
Location : Ft. Myers, FL
Work Schedule : 40 hours, 8 : 00 AM- 5 : 00 PM, Monday-Friday (some weekend / afterhours support / on-call rotation may be required)
Position Classification : Full-Time; Salaried Exempt, Entry-Level
Compensation : $48,000-$55,000
Physical Demands : Sitting, typing, walking, and talking on the phone.

Required Experience and Education :
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI :
- Advanced DAX, Power Query, M Code, SQL, and data modeling. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate is a significant plus.
- Technical Communication Excellence :
- Ability to clearly explain complex analytics to general audiences. Experience in professional presentations, leading client calls, and crafting polished deliverables.
- Project Management Expertise :
- Proven track record of organizing and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Attention to Detail & Aesthetics :
- Skilled in delivering high-quality, professional-grade dashboards and reports with a focus on accuracy and design.
- Soft Skills :
- Proactive, curious, resourceful, and highly organized. Strong note-taking and documentation skills.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge :
- Experience with TMS data, sourcing, RFQs, or rate negotiations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with logistics or supply chain industry data is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities :
Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, utilizing DAX, Power Query, M Code, and SQL data extraction.
Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Oversee and track recurring and ad-hoc client projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
Analyze and audit TMS (Transportation Management System) data for actionable insights.
Partner with other departments to prepare newsletters, conduct industry research, and create technical reports.
