Description:
Responsible for managing daily hotel operations and providing leadership in the hotel's continuous effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Generation of top-line revenue and RevPAR through successful selling strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
- Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives.
- Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
- Solicit and negotiate business with new and existing clients through daily prospecting, outside sales calls, e-communications, telemarketing, referrals, site tours, and networking.
- Timely submission of required reports to General Manager and Corporate Director of Hotel Operations.
- Maintain a great rapport with local civic organizations, convention & visitors bureaus and companies doing business within the Venice market.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with Marriott Global Sales Office.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities and opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure that team members (specifically Front Desk staff) are familiar with key accounts and specifics relating to business booked within the hotels.
- Ascertain that hotel credit procedures are followed.
- Contribute to property revenue meetings always insuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.
Compensation:
- Salary starting $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications:
- Minimum two years Hotel experience
- Front Desk experience preferred but not required
- Marriott experience preferred.
- Local market knowledge and experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Solid understanding of Revenue Management Principles
