What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Installation Crew Leader position at ALM Commercial Landscaping?
ALM Huntsville is searching for Landscape Installation Crew Leaders to be responsible for supervising, scheduling and training crew members to perform a variety of installation services for our commercial and residential clients. Our Crew Leaders must be able to work Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm and some Saturdays. Landscape Crew Leaders are fulltime and benefit eligible positions and we pay weekly. What will you do as an Installation Crew Leader?
- Plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of landscaping installation crews.
- Train assigned employees in their areas of work including landscape installation methods, procedures, and techniques such as planting of trees and shrubs, irrigation installation, sod installation, etc.
- Supervise the use, care, and operation of landscape equipment and assists in maintaining equipment and vehicles for proper working order.
- Verify the work of assigned employees for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures and safely drive assigned company vehicle.
What we are looking for:
- 1 years of experience landscape installation experience is required (installation of shrubs, trees, sod and irrigation)
- Must have solid plant knowledge
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Familiarity with hand tools that are commonly used in landscaping.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk 10 miles a day
