What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Server (Legal Services) position at ALMA?
ALMA is a legal services startup company based in Washington, DC. We primarily service high-end law firms. Our mission is to simplify, expedite, and upgrade the customer experience for government applications, court services, and international certifications.
We are seeking Process Servers / Legal Couriers in the DMV area, particularly in Maryland.
Priority Counties: Anne Arundel County & Howard County
You will be primarily responsible for delivering court documents to individuals and entities in the DMV area within a defined time frame.
Deliveries to corporate entities and government agencies typically take place during business hours (9am-4pm).
Deliveries to residential addresses typically take place between 5:30am-9am, 12-4pm, and 6pm-10:30pm.
We are looking for process servers who can ideally work all types of deliveries.
Qualifications
- Previous process serving experience preferred, but not required.
- Active car insurance policy and drivers license with good record
- Must have reliable vehicle
- Jobs are during week AND weekends. Flexible availability is needed.
- Access to home printer/scanner/computer highly preferred
Compensation: Servers can expect to make $35-55 per assignment, dependent on standard/expedited requests. The position is not standard hours, it is based on need and volume of work. You will work as an independent contractor.
