Required experience:
Successful applicants will have at least 3 years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience. A multi-craft background is preferred. Applicants should be willing to work all shifts, weekends and overtime when required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics. Extensive knowledge of quality, safety and environmental regulations. At least 3 years of hands on welding experience required.
Required education:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

Schedule: During training, the shift will be 7a-3p, M-F. After training, the schedule follows a 12-hour rotating shift pattern that uses 4 teams (crews) and 2 twelve-hour shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. During a 4-week cycle, each team works 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, works 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 1 day off duty, works 3 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, works 4 consecutive day shift, then have 7 consecutive days off duty. There will be 36/48 alternating weekly hours rotation.
Job Duties:
Taking corrective and preventive measures based on a view of the overall production process.
Independently performing all supporting tasks. Including repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions of production installations and equipment so that the production process is not disturbed. This means essentially:
locating malfunctions and causes and determine the remedy;
define if colleagues from other disciplines must be enabled (for example, electricians or third parties);
assessing the nature and extent of the failure and determine whether direct repair is necessary and/or possible;
analyzing information about failures to the same machine and in consultation with supervisor determine what actions should be taken.
performing periodic and preventive maintenance so that disruptions in the production process are kept to a minimum. This means essentially:
providing periodic visual checks to machinery and equipment, replacement of wearing parts;
signaling of malfunctioning parts and if necessary machine shutdown in connection with safety;
determining in consultation with production, what repairs, preventive or periodic maintenance can be performed;
performing mechanical maintenance (including pipe work, hydraulics, pneumatics) and welding grinding-drilling and cutting activities and guide (laser) alignments;
making proposals to the supervisor to extend the service life of components/in order to improve technical situations;
coaching and instructing less experienced colleague operators and new employees.
Prepare and perform of new constructions, expansion and revision work such as modifying of equipment, design, measure and building of various additions-in and outside of buildings, installations or systems, etc. in accordance with specifications listed in work assignments.
Documenting of maintenance information for the shift reporting, so that colleagues are informed regarding the daily work and technical failures of installations.
Guiding new employees and/or mechanics of third parties, such that work is accomplished according to the safety requirements.
Observance of operating, environmental, health and safety regulations, housekeeping of equipment and work area.
All other duties as assigned.
