Transfer Station operator needed. Must be able to run excavator, and yard truck with trailer, pay depends on experience, will train the right person.
We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Utilize micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure product specifications are met.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and any issues encountered during operations.
- Assist in packaging finished products for shipment, ensuring quality standards are upheld.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and equipment.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes.
- Familiarity with programming machinery for specific tasks is advantageous.
- Strong basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Experience with materials handling practices to ensure safe transportation of products.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of tooling requirements for various production processes is a plus.
