JobDescription :

  • TheidealcandidatewillhaveexperiencedesigningandimplementingOLTPandOLAPdatabases,specificallyfocusingonSnowflake.Thisroleinvolvescollaboratingwithvariousstakeholderstodesignscalableandefficientdatabasesolutionsthatmeetthebusinessneeds.

KeyResponsibilities :

DatabaseDesign&Architecture :

  • Design,develop,andoptimizeSnowflakedatabasesforbothOLTPandOLAPsystems.
  • Createandmaintaindatamodels,includingconceptual,logical,andphysicalmodels.
  • Developandimplementdatabaseschemas,tables,views,indexes,andotherdatabaseobjects.

    • DataIntegration&ETLProcesses :

  • Designandmanagedataintegrationsolutions,includingETL / ELTprocesses.
  • Collaboratewithdataengineerstoimplementdatapipelinesfordataingestion,transformation,andloadingintoSnowflake.

    • PerformanceTuning&Optimization :

  • Analyzeandoptimizedatabaseperformance,includingqueryperformance,indexingstrategies,andstoragemanagement.
  • Monitorandtroubleshootdatabaseperformanceissuesandimplementsolutionstoimproveefficiency.

    • Collaboration&Communication :

  • Workcloselywithcross-functionalteams,includingdataengineers,analysts,andbusinessstakeholders,tounderstanddatarequirementsanddeliverdatabasesolutions.
  • Providetechnicalguidanceandmentorshiptojuniordatabasedesignersanddevelopers.

    • Documentation&Compliance :

  • Maintaincomprehensivedocumentationofdatabasedesigns,architectures,andprocesses.
  • Ensuredatasecurity,privacy,andcompliancewithrelevantregulationsandbestpractices.

    • TechnicalSkills

  • ProficiencyinSQLanddatabasequeryoptimization.
  • Strongunderstandingofdatamodelingtechniquesandbestpractices.
  • ExperiencewithETL / ELTtoolsandprocesses.
  • Familiaritywithdatawarehousingconceptsandarchitecture.
  • Knowledgeofdatasecurityandcompliancepractices.

    • SoftSkills

  • Excellentproblem-solvingandanalyticalskills.
  • Strongcommunicationandcollaborationskills.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.

    • PreferredQualifications :

  • Snowflakecertification.
  • ExperiencewithcloudplatformssuchasAWS,
  • Familiaritywithotherdatabasetechnologies(e.g.MySQL,PostgreSQL,Oracleetc.).
  • Experiencewithdatavisualizationandreportingtools(e.g.,Tableau,PowerBI).
