Job Description:
Client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at Tygart Center. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality care, and guiding the clinical team to success. This is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support nursing operations and personnel.
- Ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Drive excellence in clinical practice, staff development, and customer service.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal outcomes for residents.
- Support continuous improvement in nursing services and patient experiences.
- Be available for on-call needs as required.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of nurse leadership experience in long-term care.
- 2 years of prior clinical nursing experience required.
- Familiarity with MDS, state/federal regulations, and the nurse practice act.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
