Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to support our high-profile healthcare client, Client. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mainframe technologies and a proven track record in developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications within a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, code, and test mainframe applications to meet business requirements.
- Perform system maintenance, production support, and enhancements for critical healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience with COBOL , JCL , VSAM , DB2 , and CICS .
- Deep understanding of mainframe batch processing and real-time transaction systems.
- Expertise in debugging and resolving complex mainframe issues.
- Familiarity with healthcare EDI standards and claims processing (e.g., ANSI X12, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in tools such as Endevor , File-AID , and IBM utilities .
- Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Control-M .
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably with Client or similar organizations.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence .
- Familiarity with data integration and reporting tools used in healthcare systems.
- Exposure to cloud modernization strategies for mainframe systems.
- Basic knowledge of modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for interfacing with mainframe systems.
