Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Web and Mobile Application Developer to develop, deploy, and manage modern mobility solutions . This role requires an experienced software engineer who can work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams to contribute to cutting-edge research in smart cities, connected vehicles, automated vehicles, and transportation safety applications .

As part of this role, you will be responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing of software applications, ensuring high-quality project deliverables. You will collaborate with research teams and sponsors to define project goals, technical specifications, and timelines . Strong coding standards, unit tests, and CI / CD tools will be required to maintain technical excellence.

Candidates are expected to work independently with minimal supervision while mentoring, supervising, and training junior team members, technicians, and graduate research assistants .

Must-Have Skills (Required Qualifications)

• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in web and / or mobile application development .
• Strong knowledge of UI / UX design principles and implementation.
• Hands-on experience in React and TypeScript or similar front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language : Kotlin, TypeScript, Dart, C#, or Python .
• Experience in building and consuming REST APIs , and working with client / server architectures .
• Hands-on experience with WS and / or Azure cloud platforms .
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
• Experience with Git and CI / CD pipelines .
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision .
