Job Overview:
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (FL-DBPR) is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to support the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes (CTMH) on a short-term, project-based assignment. The CPA will work remotely, contributing 100 hours over two months with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for Common Interest Realty Associations (CIRA), including condominiums, timeshares, and mobile homes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with Florida state regulations.
- Provide technical accounting expertise related to CIRA financial matters.
- Draft detailed reports, memoranda, and communications regarding financial findings.
- Collaborate with DBPR staff to assess and interpret financial data for regulatory purposes.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Outlook to document and communicate financial insights effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:Mandatory:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
Strong professional writing skills, including proper grammar and spelling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook (minimum 2 years of experience).
Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
Preferred:
Experience working with Common Interest Realty Associations (CIRA) Accounting.
Work Environment:
- Remote position (Tallahassee area).
- Flexible schedule – 100 hours over two months.
