Job Description
Aloe Semiconductor, Inc., an innovator in silicon-photonics technology, is looking for a photonic integrated circuit (PIC) engineer. Reporting to the CEO, this role will design, simulate, test, and analyze PIC devices, mainly for optical communications. A desire to learn and grow is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-performance photonic integrated circuits
- Simulate photonic integrated circuits
- Test photonic integrated circuits in the lab
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in engineering or physics
- Deep understanding of electro-magnetic wave theory
- 2 years experience designing photonic integrated circuits
- Experience with testing photonic integrated circuits
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Programming experience (MATLAB, Python, C, repository)
Desired Qualifications:
- Semiconductor fabrication experience
- Experience with designing silicon-photonic PICs
- Deep knowledge of optical communications
- Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Industry and product development experience
