What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Office Manager position at Aloft Cleveland Downtown?
The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Front Office operation ensuring the operation , in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with excellent service prior to and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for direct supervision and control of the Front Office and completion of administrative tasks.
- Ability to lead and develop team members within the department.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Manage Front Desk staff.
- Oversee staffing levels and make adjustments to ensure service levels are met within labor model.
- Manage front office scheduling and payroll processes.
- Ensure that all associates are following their schedule and taking their breaks.
- Communicate properly and effectively with the guest, associates and managers.
- Effectively respond to guest complaints.
- Effectively operate the hotel computer system upon certification and maintain a knowledge of the hotel reservation system.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests.
- Able to lead a team.
- Must have strong verbal and written skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
- Must possess guest service demeanor and outgoing personality with the ability to relate to diverse guest types.
- Must have the ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve.
- Must be computer savvy.
- Must understand financial accounting practices.
