Banquet Server job:
The Banquet Server performs all tasks associated with setting up, serving, and breaking down of function rooms where banquet food service activities are performed.
Essential Functions:
- Set up banquet tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and glassware
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the event space
- Assist with event breakdown and clean-up
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest needs
- Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Must deliver on all Marriott and Poteat Hospitality standards.
- Be aware of hotel policies and Marriott SOPs and Quality Assurance requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods
- Must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
