Job Summary:
Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Banquet Steward to join our hospitality team. The Banquet Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the banquet and kitchen areas, ensuring proper dishwashing and sanitation, and assisting in overall banquet setup and breakdown. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of service and cleanliness that our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all banquet and kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, storage, and banquet service areas.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including arranging tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals.
- Assist culinary and banquet teams as needed.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a stewarding, housekeeping, or kitchen support role preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, lifting, and bending.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
