Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you are responsible for identifying and cultivating new client relationships with referral sources, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, to generate admissions for the facility's treatment programs, while maintaining strong relationships with existing referral partners to ensure consistent patient flow and achieve business growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Actively identify and research potential referral sources, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, social service agencies, and community organizations.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to build relationships with key decision-makers at potential referral partners.
- Conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and in-person visits to present the treatment facility's services and secure new referral agreements.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with existing referral sources to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with the facility's services.
- Organize regular meetings and presentations with referral partners to highlight the treatment facility's success stories and clinical expertise.
- Address any concerns or issues raised by referral partners promptly and effectively.
Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to promote the treatment facility's services to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and presentations.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential referral sources.
Admission Process / Discharge:
- Work closely with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition for new clients from initial contact to admission through discharge.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about the treatment programs to potential clients and referral partners.
- Conduct intake assessments and pre-admission screenings as needed.
- Coordinate discharge planning with directors and the clinical team.
- Contacting previous clients to possibly develop a continuum of care.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, conversion rates, and referral volume.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in business development strategies.
- Prepare regular reports for leadership on sales performance and business development activities.
- Daily reporting to management and directors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in healthcare sales, preferably within the addiction treatment industry.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including insurance regulations and referral networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with referral sources and potential clients.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills to effectively convey the value of treatment programs.
- Ability to manage a high volume of leads and maintain a robust pipeline.
- Proficiency in CRM/EMR software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to be professional, organized, dependable, and provide excellent customer service.
