What you will do:
The On-call Security Specialist reports to the Deputy Director within Aloha Green’s Security Directorate. Duties include but are not limited to the security screening of patients and the review of eligibility and identification documents. As warranted, the Security Specialist will deny entry to ineligible patrons and visitors. The role will be assigned to work at fixed “screening posts” extended periods, working in a standing position for recurring periods not exceeding 30 minutes, and schedule to work 10-hour shifts. There is occasional light physical activity associated with the position. The Security Specialist may be summoned to escort patrons who need further assistance. The Security Specialist plays a key role in assisting with, and/or carrying out assigned duties related to Aloha Green’s Occupant Emergency Plan, including any security related matters for the transport and dispensary operations, and any other services as needed.
Compensation:
· Starting at $20/hour (Depending on Experience)
What you’ll need:
The On-call Security Specialist requires a flexible schedule to accept work on short notice, reliability to cover others’ shifts as needed, or go long periods without work assignments. Diligence and a moderate to high level of security experience is essential for the role. The Security Specialist must have extensive critical thinking skills to handle a range of threats and scenarios. The Security Specialist is required to have a valid guard card and driver’s license. Reliable transportation is essential for the role to complete assignments at multiple locations, should the need arise.
Hawaii Department of Health regulations require employees in the state’s cannabis industry be at least 21 years old without felony convictions. Candidates must consent to a background investigation and fingerprinting to undergo a thorough federal criminal background check. Only candidates who currently live on Oahu will be considered.
