Job Summary:
The Pest Control Technician delivers safe and effective pest control treatment methods to our customers and provides exceptional services, including pest control treatments, bait installations/inspections, and spot treatments. The technician must be familiar with many different pests and termites in Hawaii. Pest Control Technicians are required to work towards acquiring the HDOA 7C General Pest Control Applicators license.
Responsibilities:
Compensation: $20.00/hr /- depending on experience & license(s)
Daily Work Schedule: Mon-Fri and weekends as needed
Daily start times varying from 7am or earlier, with end times depending on customer appointments

Job Summary:
The Pest Control Technician delivers safe and effective pest control treatment methods to our customers and provides exceptional services, including pest control treatments, bait installations/inspections, and spot treatments. The technician must be familiar with many different pests and termites in Hawaii. Pest Control Technicians are required to work towards acquiring the HDOA 7C General Pest Control Applicators license.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect properties to identify sites of pest/termite infestation and determining the required treatment type
- Applying chemical solutions, materials, or baits to eliminate pests as contracted
- Acquiring knowledge of island pests and their habits
- Engage in physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, and working in various conditions
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills when reporting activities and findings to customers
- Exercise strong attention to detail in treatments and bait applications
- Read and understand product labels and SDS sheets for proper installation and application directions
- Knowledge of power tools, drills, power sprayers, general hand tools, and other tools as required by the job.
- Building positive and strong relationships with clients and exceeding their expectations.
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring proper organization of tools and materials, following traffic laws and all HDOA related regulations
- Strong customer Service background
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Clean driving record and Valid Hawaii Driver's License
- Good math skills — add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. You'll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
- Safely operate a company vehicle to various locations
- Indoors and outdoors in all-weather conditions with the company provided weather gear if needed
- Work around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Exposed to various pests, animals and insects.
- Engage in physically demanding outdoor tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing ladders, carrying equipment up to 75 lbs and working in all weather conditions
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and OSHA-compliant respirator when required
