Position Summary
The Plan Operations Intern is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Plan Operations in the various functions of the Plan Operations Department. This role primarily handles administrative tasks, special projects and customer service support. This position is expected to deliver exceptional customer service to our employees with a high level of expertise, courtesy, and professionalism. This position also performs a wide range of administrative duties, coordinating various tasks and providing efficient and accurate support to the team. Strong attention to detail and precise documentation, particularly in data entry, are critical to success in this role. The position requires the ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative in addressing non-routine situations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains administrative files
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills by ensuring staff relations are conducted with a pleasant and friendly attitude and responds in a timely manner
- Completes various outbound phone calls to members
- Takes, organizes, and maintains minutes from area-wide meetings and other meetings advised by Plan Operations
- Opens, sorts, and distributes daily mail for Plan Operations
- Special projects as required and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned per departmental or organizational business needs
- Maintains AlohaCare’s confidential information in accordance with AlohaCare policies, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current student entering an accredited undergraduate or postgraduate program
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to operate general office equipment to include PC, fax/copy machine, and telephone
- Intermediate skill using Microsoft Programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- Requires prolonged operation of a computer workstation, including the ability to type for extended periods of time on a keyboard during the scheduled workday

Salary : $15 - $17
